Resize image

Resize by pixels, percent, ratio or target file size. Rotate, add padding or a date caption — and watch it update live. Nothing leaves your browser.

Resize an image online by pixels, percent, aspect ratio, or target file size — resize JPG, PNG, or WebP without installing anything. Everything runs 100% in your browser, so your photos are never uploaded and it keeps working offline once the page has loaded.

How to resize an image

  1. Add your image. Click the card to pick a JPG, PNG, or WebP file, or drag and drop one onto the page.
  2. Choose how to resize. Pick a mode — set exact Pixels (with an optional aspect lock), scale by Percent, crop to a Ratio like 1:1 or 16:9, or compress to a target File size such as 200 KB or 1 MB.
  3. Refine and preview. Rotate or crop the image, tweak quality and output format (JPG/PNG/WebP), and optionally add padding or a date caption — the preview and the estimated file size update live.
  4. Save the result. Tap Save image to open the export screen, then rename and download your resized image.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. The resizing happens entirely in your browser on your own device using the canvas — your image never leaves your computer or phone and nothing is sent to any server.

Is it free and do I need an account?

Yes, it's completely free with no sign-up. Just open the page and start resizing.

What image formats can I resize?

You can load JPG, PNG, or WebP images, and export as JPG, PNG, or WebP. When you resize to a target file size, the output is saved as JPG for the best compression.

Can I resize to an exact file size like 200 KB or 1 MB?

Yes. Switch to the File size mode and pick a target (200 KB, 500 KB, 1 MB, 2 MB, 5 MB, or Max) — the tool automatically adjusts JPG quality to land close to that size.

Will resizing keep the aspect ratio?

In Pixels mode there's a lock button that keeps width and height proportional as you type, so the image won't stretch. You can unlock it to set width and height independently.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. It runs in any modern mobile browser — you can pick or drop an image, resize, crop, rotate, and save right from your phone.
